hey, followed the link from your comment at Liz's blog. so, hope you don't mind a random stranger commenting.
Personally I really like this idea of the soundwaves. From the thumbnail especially it gives off a really comforting sense because of the way the edges are soft and fade in and out, which is basically what music does to ppl I think, comforts them in some way. Apparently there were studies done that showed music activating the same region of the brain that is affected by drugs and fulfilling biological needs (like eating).
while it wasn't CLEAR to me what exactly you were trying to show from the picture alone or that the 3 names down there were actually BANDS, that'd easily be remedied with a caption above "beirut, etc" explaining what was being measured and how.
